Mahindra XUV700 Facelift 2026: Naya Design, Naye Features, Sab Kuch Badal Gaya

Mahindra XUV700 Facelift 2026

The Mahindra XUV700 is one of the best-selling SUVs in India, and now the company is preparing to bring it with a facelift version in 2026. According to the leaks and reports that have come out, this new XUV700 facelift 2026 will come with quite futuristic looks, a bold design, and the latest technology. Let’s see in detail what all the new things will be that are found in this car.

Yaar, the current XUV700 is already a very solid SUV, but Mahindra is now making it even more advanced. Spy shots reveal that this is a mid-cycle facelift, meaning no major changes, but a design refresh and some new features that will make it feel fresh. I did some research (from online sources), and I am telling everything here in Hinglish, just like we friends talk. Let’s start.

Exterior Looks

Well, let’s first talk about the looks. Compared to the current model, this facelift will give a completely new feel from the front. Spy mules have shown that the front grille is now multi-slat, more upright, and bold. Headlamps are now dual-pod LED projector units; new C-shaped or refined LED DRLs have replaced the earlier circular DRLs. The bumper has also been reworked new air dams, a more pronounced skid plate, and the fog lamp housings have also been updated. Overall, the front fascia seems to be inspired by Mahindra’s new EVs like the BE.6 and XUV 9e, which will make it more aggressive.

  • New Front Grille: With a bigger and bolder grille, the SUV will now look even more aggressive.
  • LED DRLs & Headlamps: Sleek design with a futuristic lighting setup, which will give the car a premium SUV feel.
  • Alloy Wheels: New diamond-cut alloy wheels and sporty design are expected.
  • Tail lamps: Connected LED taillight design, which will make the car extremely stylish from the back.
  • Shining White & Dual-Tone Colors: Mahindra may introduce new color options as well.

The side profile is mostly the same the same muscular stance, flush pop-out door handles (which are cool, but some people want normal handles), and side cladding. But new alloy wheel designs are coming, which look like machined cuts in the spy shots. There are changes in the rear, like the split taillight design (earlier it was a full-width connected LED, now with vertical extensions), slimmer taillamps with a light bar, and a redesigned rear bumper. Exhaust was not seen in some test cars, so maybe a hybrid version is also being considered, but it will mainly remain ICE. Colors? New shades are expected to be added, like the current Napoli Black or Everest White, along with some fresh options.

Yes, overall these changes in the exterior will make it modern and premium, perfect to compete with rivals like the Tata Safari or Hyundai Alcazar.

Interior & Comfort – Space + Luxury

Now coming to the interiors Mahindra has changed the game here! The biggest highlight is the triple-screen setup on the dashboard. A 12.3-inch digital cluster for the driver, an infotainment screen in the center, and a dedicated screen on the passenger side as well. This is inspired by the XEV 9e, and nothing like this is seen in its rivals yet. The steering wheel is also of a new design, possibly from the XEV models. The center console is updated, with better switchgear and auto-dimming IRVM.

  • Large Touchscreen:Updated infotainment system, wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay.
  • Digital Instrument Cluster: Fully digital cluster with customizable themes.
  • Panoramic Sunroof: Already a popular feature, now expect a bigger and clearer version.
  • Premium Upholstery: Leather seats, ambient lighting, and ventilated front seats.
  • Advanced AC Vents & Controls: Better cooling system and dual-zone climate control.

Upholstery will remain dual-tone black-beige, but seats are now in beige color. New features include rear ventilated seats (earlier only the front), an extra wireless phone charger, and possibly HUD (Heads-Up Display). The audio system could be upgraded from the current Sony to Harman Kardon, with 16 speakers and 1400W output. Other features will be retained, like the panoramic sunroof, 6-way powered driver seat with memory, dual-zone AC, 12-speaker system (to be upgraded), and safety features, including 7 airbags, a 360-degree camera, TPMS, ESC, and ADAS.

And yes, ADAS is being made Level 2+, with features like self-parking. The sitting options are the same—5-seater or 7-seater. Captain seats in the second row are on the wish list but not confirmed.

Performance and powertrain: What changes in the engine

No major changes are expected in the powertrain, which is good as the current engines are very reliable. It will come with the same 2.0-liter turbo-petrol (200 PS, 380 Nm) and 2.2-liter diesel (155 PS/360 Nm or 185 PS/450 Nm). Transmission: 6-speed manual or automatic, FWD or optional AWD. Mileage and performance will remain the same but could possibly be improved with tuning. There are rumors of a hybrid or electrified version (like the XEV 7e), but the facelift is mainly focused on the ICE.

  • 2.0L Turbo Petrol (200+ bhp)
  • 2.2L mHawk Diesel (up to 185 bhp)
  • Manual & Automatic Transmission Options
  • An AWD (all-wheel drive) variant is also expected to be available.

Mahindra may also introduce hybrid technology or a mild-hybrid system so that fuel efficiency is better.

The people need improvements in the suspension—the current one feels noisy and busy at city speeds, so it will probably be fine-tuned for better ride quality.
