Mahindra, which is an Indian company and we all know about their tough SUVs like Thar and Scorpio, is now looking towards the future. On 15 August 2025, on Independence Day, Mahindra unveiled four new concept SUVs in a grand event in Mumbai – Vision S, Vision T, Vision SXT and Vision X. This Vision X is going to come in the sub-compact SUV segment, meaning under 4-meter length, which will compete with cars like Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet. The video shows that this concept is part of the Global Vision 2027 strategy, in which Mahindra wants to make its portfolio modern and tech-savvy. Exciting isn’t it? Now let’s get into the details.

Technology & Features – Kya Milega Naya?
Mahindra has not only worked on the design but also on the technology in Vision X. Some expectations:
- Modern infotainment system – touchscreen with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay.
- ADAS features – for safety (lane assist, auto braking, etc.).
- High ground clearance – perfect for off-roading.
- Fuel-efficient engine – petrol/diesel + maybe electric version too in future.
Now let’s talk about the interior, which is covered in great detail in the video. The cabin is spacious for a subcompact SUV, with a 5-seater setup with premium materials like soft-touch plastics, leatherette upholstery, and ambient lighting. The dashboard is a minimalist, dual-screen setup—a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment and another digital instrument cluster. The infotainment system will run on Mahindra’s AdrenoX software that will support Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, navigation, and voice commands.
Talking about the powertrain, this is the most exciting part. It has been explained in the video that because of the NU.IQ platform, there will be multiple engine options. The petrol variant will have a 1.2-liter turbo engine with around 130 bhp, and the diesel will have a 1.5-liter with 115 bhp. A hybrid version is also expected, which will increase the mileage—20+ kmpl in the city. And an EV version? Yes, pure electric with a 300-400 km range and fast charging support.
