On 15 August 2025, Mahindra unveiled a futuristic concept car—Vision S—as part of its Vision 2027 strategy. It is based on Mahindra’s new, modular NU_IQ platform, which provides a very flexible foundation for futuristic SUVs.

The car has a boxy design, like a baby version of the Land Rover Defender, but with Mahindra’s own twist. Features are the highlight of this car. In the video they said “SUV For All Reasons.” This show has been made for family, adventure, daily commute, etc. The infotainment system will be the latest large touchscreen with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Mahindra’s AdrenoX connect. Voice commands, navigation, music streaming—everything is available. Safety features in ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) like adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and automatic emergency braking. Airbags multiple, ABS, ESC – standard. Interior: ambient lighting, wireless charging, panoramic sunroof (maybe optional). Seats are comfortable, with ventilation in higher variants. Smart storage options in the boot, like hooks and dividers. Off-road mode in hill descent control and terrain modes (mud, sand, and rock). Launch Timeline & Speculations

- CarWale, according to estimates, will be priced at Ex-showroom ₹9.30-16.00 Lakh and launch in June 2026 (tentative).
Launch in 2027, probably in August or January. Mahindra unveiled it at a Mumbai event, and now the testing phase will begin. It has been spotted in camouflage in spy shots, which is increasing the excitement. There is a craze for SUVs in the Indian market, and Mahindra is the king—Thar, Scorpio, and XUV700 are all hits. Vision S seems to be a part of the Scorpio family, so its fan base is ready. There will be a global launch too, in Europe and Africa. Price-wise, there will be value for money—the features will be so numerous that it will feel premium but will be affordable.
